Sydney Sweeney Returns for Second American Eagle Campaign With ‘Syd for Short’

Sydney Sweeney is teaming up with American Eagle once again, returning as the face of a brand-new campaign focused on one timeless wardrobe staple: denim shorts.

The actress stars in the retailer’s latest campaign, titled Syd for Short: American Eagle Jean Shorts, marking her second major collaboration with the brand following last year’s headline-making partnership.

Known for blending effortless style with a laid-back California-inspired aesthetic, Sydney brings a confident, casual energy to the campaign while spotlighting American Eagle’s newest denim collection.

“There’s something timeless about a great pair of jean shorts,” Sydney shared while discussing the campaign. “They’re simple, but they make you feel confident and put-together without trying too hard.”

In promotional footage released by the brand, Sydney embraces the playful tone of the campaign with a cheeky line that quickly caught fans’ attention.

“What brand am I wearing? Yeah, that one,” the actress says in the video, leaning into the campaign’s lighthearted confidence.

But beyond fashion, the partnership also carries a charitable focus. American Eagle created custom styles tied to a cause close to Sydney’s heart, with proceeds supporting mental health services through Crisis Text Line.

“Crisis Text Line, a cause so close to my heart, has been a part of this partnership from the beginning,” Sydney explained. “I love knowing that when everyone wears these pieces, they are also a part of something meaningful, that directly helps people who need it.”

The featured Syd Jean and Syd Short designs include butterfly accents, symbolizing support for survivors of domestic violence. According to the campaign, all net profits from the special pieces will go directly to Crisis Text Line, adding a meaningful layer to the fashion collaboration.

Sydney’s return to American Eagle comes after the company’s Fall 2025 campaign, Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans, sparked widespread online discussion. Some advertisements from the campaign notably crossed out the word “Jeans” and replaced it with “Genes,” leading to controversy and debate across social media.

Despite the online chatter, Sydney’s partnership with the brand has continued to evolve, with the actress once again blending fashion and philanthropy in a campaign designed to make both a style statement and a positive impact.
